Creating an API key

Open Settings, then API keys in GreenPT Apps to reach the API access available to your account. The account website may provide the key-management flow used by your plan.

Create and store a key

1. Sign in to the correct personal or organisation account.
2. Open the API-key management area and choose the create action if your role permits it.
3. Give the key a purpose-specific name and review the available permissions.
4. Store the secret securely when the interface displays it.
5. Test it using the API quickstart.

If a key is exposed

Replace it through key management, update the applications that use it and revoke the exposed key. Review usage for unexpected activity. Do not paste the old or replacement secret into support messages.

If API keys are unavailable, check plan access and organisation permissions with your administrator or support.
