Searching the web in Chat

Open Chat when your question needs information from the web. A source link helps you check a claim; it does not guarantee that the claim is correct.

Search and check the answer

1. Select Search the web near the composer and check that it is enabled.
2. Ask a focused question. Include a place, date range or source preference where useful.
3. Send the message and let GreenPT gather information.
4. Read the answer and follow its source links. Check the publication date, relevant passage and original publisher.
5. Ask a follow-up if the answer leaves a gap, or narrow the question to a particular source.

For example: “What is a Repair Café? Give two sentences and an official source.” The video uses a fictional event-planning workflow.

Choose the right source of context

Turn web search off when you do not need it. For a question about your own document, attach the file and say which information should come from it. For a longer report with an outline and references, follow Using Researcher.

If there are no usable citations, ask for sources and verify them directly before relying on the answer.
