Integration guide
Use GreenPT in Kilo Code
Kilo Code connects to GreenPT through its OpenAI Compatible provider in VS Code, JetBrains, or the CLI. Enter the GreenPT base URL and your API key, let Kilo Code detect the available models, and pick glm-5.3. Your agent then codes on renewable EU infrastructure.
Kilo Code queries the endpoint for available models, so after the base URL and key you mostly click through.
Setup
Connect Kilo Code to GreenPT
Every OpenAI-compatible setup needs the same three values. The steps below show where they go in this tool.
- Base URL
https://api.greenpt.ai/v1- API key
GREENPT_API_KEY- Model
glm-5.3
-
Install Kilo Code
Install the Kilo Code extension from the VS Code Marketplace or JetBrains Marketplace, or use the CLI. Open the settings from the Kilo Code panel.
-
Create a GreenPT API key
Sign up at account.greenpt.ai (14-day free trial, no credit card) and create an API key in the console.
-
Configure the OpenAI Compatible provider
Choose OpenAI Compatible as the API provider and fill in the values below. Kilo Code auto-detects the models the endpoint serves; select glm-5.3 from the list.

Verify with a small task
Run a scoped task in Architect or Code mode. Kilo Code streams the plan and edits; glm-5.3 keeps multi-file changes coherent.
Pick a model
Three open coding models, one key
glm-5.3 is the flagship for agentic software engineering. kimi-k3 takes the hardest refactors, and deepseek-v4-flash-0731 handles routine edits at a fraction of the cost. All open-weight, all hosted in the EU, and the same key reaches every other GreenPT model too.
Compare all coding modelsWhy GreenPT
Why teams point Kilo Code at GreenPT
Same agent, same workflow, different footprint. GreenPT serves open-weight coding models from green EU data centres, with privacy guarantees that proprietary defaults do not offer.
-
No training on your code
Prompts and code are never used for training. GDPR-compliant, EU-based processing with DPAs on request.
-
Open-weight models
glm-5.3, Kimi K3, and DeepSeek V4 Flash. You know exactly what you run.
-
Renewable EU infrastructure
Scaleway green data centres, 100% renewable energy, PUE 1.25 and WUE 0.25, with CO2 tracked per request.
-
One key for everything
The same GREENPT_API_KEY also serves chat, embeddings, reranking, OCR, speech-to-text, and web search.
Frequently asked questions
Which GreenPT model works best in Kilo Code?
glm-5.3 as the default, kimi-k3 for the heaviest multi-file work, and deepseek-v4-flash-0731 when efficiency and cost matter most.
Compare the coding models →Can I set different models per Kilo Code mode?
Yes. Kilo Code lets you assign a model per mode. A common split: a reasoning model for Architect mode and glm-5.3 or Qwen3 Coder for Code mode. All of them run through the same GreenPT key.
Does GreenPT train on my code?
No. GreenPT never trains models on your prompts, code, or conversations. Processing happens entirely inside the EU with full GDPR compliance, and data processing agreements are available on request.
How is this more sustainable than the default setup?
GreenPT models run in Scaleway green EU data centres on 100% renewable energy, with a PUE of 1.25 and a WUE of 0.25, well below industry averages. CO2 and energy usage are tracked per request, so you can report the footprint of your coding agent instead of guessing it.
What does it cost?
You pay per token through GreenPT API credits, and every new account starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. Open-weight models are markedly cheaper to run than proprietary frontier models, and you can cut spend further with the Honey agent skill.
