Copying Chat responses
Copy one answer for use in another document, then check the text and its audience before sharing it.
Open Chat and find the answer you want to keep. Copy message acts on an individual message.
Copy an answer
- Let the answer finish and read it.
- Choose Copy message in the actions beneath that answer. On some screen sizes you may need to focus or hover over the message to see its actions.
- Paste into your document or other destination.
- Check formatting, links, numbers and any information the recipient should not receive.
If copying does not work, check the browser’s clipboard permission or select and copy the text manually.
Keep working or share it
For an editable document with export options, use Artifacts. For another version of an answer, edit the question or regenerate.
Copying an answer does not create a public conversation link. Follow Sharing a conversation with others for the distinction between sharing output and sharing access.
