Saving, renaming and deleting conversations

Find saved chats in the sidebar and use conversation actions to organise or remove an individual conversation.

By GreenPT · 2 min read · English

Chat history is saved to your account as you work. Use the sidebar to return to a conversation rather than copying its contents into another chat.

Find or rename a chat

  1. Open the sidebar if it is collapsed.
  2. Use Search chats to find a conversation.
  3. Open its More actions menu to see the available management actions.
  4. Choose the rename action, enter a useful title and confirm it.

A title such as “Repair cafe invitation” is easier to recognise than a generic topic. Use folders to organise related work.

Delete carefully

Use the individual chat’s menu to delete that conversation and read the confirmation before proceeding. Save any output you need first. Delete all my chats in account settings has a much broader effect and is not needed to remove one conversation.

If a chat seems missing, check your account, search terms and folder before assuming it was deleted.

Use Pin to top in the conversation menu to keep it easy to find. To group related work, choose Move to folder, select the destination and clear the search to see the updated history. Follow Organising chats with folders to add shared instructions and files. The video demonstrates search, rename, pin and move; it does not delete a conversation.
